Our History
Tom Pilon has always been an outdoors person. Growing up in Prospect KY, He attended Kentucky Country Day School and spent much of his time outside, beginning his landscaping journey working at Nevel Meade Golf Course. After attending college in Ohio, he returned home unsure of what direction life would take—until a chance opportunity in 1999 led him to a private estate grounds crew in Anchorage, KY. There, he met his supervisor, Drew Holdaway, and the two quickly formed a strong working partnership.
Under Drew’s leadership, Tom and Drew worked side by side for 11 years, overseeing contractors, managing crews, and maintaining high-end, large-scale landscape projects with exceptional attention to detail. During this time, Tom began building his own small client base, launching Perfect Earth Landscape in 2007. In 2010, he left Anchorage to grow the business full-time, and in 2012, Drew joined him.
Since then, Perfect Earth Landscape has grown carefully and steadily, proudly serving residential clients throughout Jefferson and Oldham Counties. With decades of combined high-profile landscape experience, Tom and Drew bring unmatched craftsmanship, professionalism, and care to every project.
Drew is a creative design specialist with deep expertise in horticulture and general grounds management—excelling in custom design layouts, soil preparation, and plant selection. Tom oversees daily operations while staying hands-on with all aspects of the business, to ensure every job meets their high standards.
Whether it’s a small maintenance visit or a large landscape installation, both share the same passion: working hard and being honest, paying attention to the details, and delivering a truly “perfect” finished product. Perfect Earth Landscape operates out of Crestwood, Kentucky.
